As soon as the midweek whistle blew, sealing Vauxhall Motors’ place in the Cheshire Senior Cup third round, Mick McGraa’s side’s attention turned to their game against Bury AFC on Saturday afternoon at The VanEupen Arena.

Bury AFC, formed in 2019 following the expulsion of Bury FC from the EFL, are currently positioned eighth in the NWCFL Premier Division after winning the North West Counties Division One North last year.

The Shakers, created and managed entirely by volunteers from the community trust, have won all of their last six matches including a 6-1 away win at Northwich Victoria in their most recent outing.

The Motormen will look to build on their 4-1 win away at Alsager in midweek, a victory could extend their lead at the top of the table to six points.
