Memorial Benches unveiled at Lower Breck match

Vauxhall Motors FC held a Memorial Service prior to the fixture against Lower Breck to remember those who we have lost in recent times, who shaped this club’s history.

Local Political figures such as Justin Madders attended the ceremony, as well as former chairman, Lord Tony Woodley, were joined by Chairman, Jon Waring, Director of Football, Matty Mowat, former Vauxhalls players, and the families of those whose life has been celebrated through these new memorial benches.

On these benches, we remember former Club Secretary, Ken Triggs, who we lost in 2021, Alan Bartlam, former Chairman, who passed in 2020, as well as Brian Paisey, Derek Mathers and Lyn Bartlam.

A big thank you to Gordale Garden and Home Centre, Neston, for supplying the bench, and also to Life Member, Len Jones, who did a charity bike ride to fundraise.

The benches will be located at the VanEupen Arena, one outside the Club Office, and one outside the Sports and Social Club.
