Vauxhall Motors are back in action this Saturday afternoon as they host Avro at The VanEupen Arena.

Mick McGraa’s Motormen were scheduled to face Padiham on Tuesday night however the game was postponed due to the pitch being waterlogged.

This means that The Motors have had a week of training and will be looking to add to their three points picked up last time out against Longridge Town.

Avro, formed in 1936 at the Failsworth factory of the British aircraft manufacturer, are positioned third in the NWCFL Premier table and have won fourteen of their nineteen games this league season.

The Oldham based side, who moved to the WhiteBank Stadium in 2017, finished sixth last year. Six points separate the two clubs but the visitors have a game in hand.

AVRO MANAGER:
Alex Frost.
A defender by trade, he made the most appearances for Ashton United before becoming interim manager of Avro in January. His role was made permanent the following month.

PLAYER TO WATCH:
Michael Afuye, scored nine in 21.
The winger, who made his semi-professional debut last season, signed a new contract in the Summer and manager Frost stated the importance of this ‘Avro is the perfect place for his development’.

DID YOU KNOW:
Avro hold the record for winning the most Manchester FA County Cup’s as they won their tenth in 2018, their first win came in 1940.
