Motors look to get back on track against Barnoldswick

Barnoldswick Town (H) Preview.

By Ethan Hoijord

Looking for their first win in four, Mick McGraa’s Motormen will play host to Barnoldswick Town this Saturday at The VanEupen Arena.

Vauxhall were beaten 2-1 at home to Northwich Victoria on Tuesday night as a poor first half was added to by a missed penalty and a goal being ruled out for a foul late on.

The defeat, after being knocked out of the Cheshire Senior Cup by Altrincham, leaves them second in the NWCFL Premier Table as it is Avro they now need to chase down, however Motors have games in hand.

Barnoldswick are placed 14th and have won two of their last six, drawing the majority, thus Andy Harrison’s men will be of the belief that they may be able to frustrate the Ellesmere Port side.
