Motors look to get back on track at Burscough

Vauxhall Motors return to NWCFL Premier action on Saturday afternoon as they travel to Burscough, a side placed in the relegation zone.

The Motormen beat 1874 Northwhich on Tuesday evening 6-1 in a mid-season friendly, Midfielder Jake Parker getting more minutes for his new club as defender Ben Dufton-Kelly struck two.

It was a great performance at The VanEupen Arena and may prove to be of great importance as Mick McGraa’s side aim to get back to winning ways in the league after their narrow defeat away to Winsford United.

Manager – Todd Blayney, who is the Head of Football at the Steven Gerrard academy, was appointed last year.
