Motors return to action against Prestwich

Following their one-all draw away at Barnoldswick ten days ago, Vauxhall Motors are back in action on Tuesday night as they play host to Prestwich Heys.

The Motormen could return to first place with a win at The VanEupen Arena if Wythenshawe fail to beat Barnoldswick at home on the night.

The Heys are managed by James Hampson and Lee O’Brien, the man to watch being Connor Berry who has netted eight goals in sixteen games this season.

Prestwich have failed to win any of their last three league games but they picked up a point against Irlam.

Last season, the Heys finished 16th in the NWCL Premier having joined the NWCL’s Division One in 2016.

The last meeting between the two sides resulted in a 3-1 victory for Prestwich last December, Motors winning the game in Ellesmere Port a couple of months before.

PRESTWICH HEYS RECENT HONOURS:
2018: LWC Drinks 1st Division Cup Winners.
2016: Manchester Football League Prem Champions, Open Trophy Winners and Bolton Hospital Cup Winners.

DID YOU KNOW:
The Heys’ highest recorded attendance is 4,000. This was for their FA Amateur Cup 3rd round game in 1967.

Prestwich will play on Tuesday in the colours of grey and navy blue.

All support for Mick McGraa’s side is appreciated thus we look forward to seeing you at The VanEupen Arena.
