Motors visit Alsager in Cheshire Senior Cup

Alsager Town FC Match Preview – Vauxhall Motors. Cheshire Senior Cup Second Round. 

Vauxhall Motors return to action, following their Boxing Day 4-2 defeat away to AFC Liverpool, as they travel to Alsager Town on Tuesday night.

It will be The Motormen’s first game of the new year, a second round tie in a competition that they reached the final of last season, The Cheshire Senior Cup.

Alsager Town are placed 16th in the NWCL Division One South and play at the Woodpark Stadium in Stoke On Trent.

Dean Jones and Dom Johnson are joint managers of The Bullets, who were formed in 1968 when Alsager Institute and Alsager United formed together due to a lack of pitches in the village.

They have lost all of their last three outings playing: Abbey Hulton United, Cammell Laird 1907 and Brocton.

However, a recent shining light has been Sam Madeley who has netted four in the last four.
