It is with great regret that we at VMFC have to announce the death of former club physio Shirley Fisher, who has been a club vice-President for many years since she gave up the original post.

Shirley was the club’s physio during the eighties and early nineties and joined us on the back of being a very well-respected physio and a genuine roll model for the period.

She was always a warm-hearted, friendly figure with a smile for everyone and she will be sadly missed by all those who ever meet her.  Shirley passed away on Monday after suffering a recent heart attack.  A minute’s silence was held at the Syncreon Arena on Tuesday evening ahead of the match against FC Oswestry Town, which was extremely well received and rightly so for such a genuinely lovely person.
