Support the Motors as we approach the business end of the season

With Vauxhall Motors placed second in the NWCFL Premier Table with nine games to go, there has not been a better time to get yourself down to The VanEupen Arena.

In The Motormen’s previous home outing they beat Lower Breck 6-1 with a performance described as dominant from the off.

It was important to get back to winning ways as we are now in the business end of the season.

Mick McGraa’s side have a fantastic will to get forward with a pacey frontline and Haydn Cooper, amongst others, provide that bit of experience that is needed to find success.

These have, arguably, been the best few games so far in 2023:

Ashton Athletic 2 Vauxhall Motors 3.
28th January.
Lewis Buckley and Ben Holmes struck in the second half before Buckley found the winner in the 92nd minute.

FC Isle Of Man 0 Vauxhall Motors 3.
21st January.
In The Motormen’s first international trip, they travelled to FC Isle Of Man. Winger Michael Burkey netted in the first and second half as Aaron Dawson sealed the game off in the 67th minute.

Vauxhall Motors 6 Lower Breck 1.
4th March.
Ben Holmes got a brace, so too did Bobbie McDonnell. Marcus James netted in the first half as debutant Jake Parker caught the eye with a strike in the 83rd minute.

Vauxhall Motors are yet to face Bury AFC, both home and away, and currently first placed Avro are yet to be met away from home.

The game against them is second to last in the fixture list, the season finishes on April 22nd away at West Didsbury and Chorlton.

Games at The VanEupen Arena:
Irlam – 25th March, Bury AFC – 28th March, AFC Liverpool – 10th April.
