Chairman's Statement

As part of the ongoing review of VMFCs financial commitments and operating structure, a reduction in the 2026/2027 first-team playing has been required as part of a wider strategy to ensure the long-term sustainability of the club.

Following these discussions, it was recognised that the revised direction and circumstances would make it difficult for Danny Holmes to pursue the ambitions he had set for the team moving forward.

Danny leaves with the sincere thanks and appreciation of everyone at Vauxhall Motors FC for his hard work, professionalism and commitment during his time in charge. His contribution to the club both on and off the pitch has been greatly valued, and he departs with the very best wishes of the Board, players, volunteers and supporters. 

We are sure Danny will continue to excel in management and go on to great things.
