Rooney returns to the Motors

Vauxhall Motors are pleased to announce the re-signing of experienced centre-back Adam Rooney from Nantwich Town. 

The 28-year-old returns to the club where he previously enjoyed a successful spell, contributing significantly during a campaign that saw the team reach the play-offs. Rooney impressed with his no-nonsense defending and leadership at the heart of the defence before moving on. The Wirral-born defender has built a solid non-league career with previous clubs including Bootle, Trafford, Atherton Collieries, City of Liverpool, and Runcorn Linnets, in addition to his time at Vauxhall Motors. He most recently featured for Nantwich Town. 

Manager Danny Holmes commented: "We're thrilled to bring Adam back to the club. His previous stint showed the quality and character he brings to the team, and we're confident he'll be a key figure for us again this season."
